Thank you for choosing Nature Air

·   Check in is 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights.

·   Check in is 1 hour prior to scheduled departure for international flights.

·   Nature Air is located in Pavas Airport, 4 miles from the downtown and 9 miles from Juan Santamaria Intl Airport.

·   When making reservation NatureAir will request full passengers name, due to Civil Aviation Regulations.

·   All tickets are non-refundable and NatureAir will hold tickets for up to one year for future travel. A $25 change fee will apply to hold tickets.

·   Schedule Flight Changes – All changes to reservations must be requested in writing and will be charged a $25 dollar change of reservation fee per person.

·   Maximum luggage allowance is 25 lbs. per person including carry-on. Excess luggage will be charged at $0.55 per pound. The extra luggage is subject to space.

·   Oversized items such as surfboards or bicycles are subject to fit in the baggage compartment and pay $15 each way.

·   Children 0-2 sitting in parent's lap travel free. Children 2-11 pay 75% of the fare. Children 12 and over pay as an adult.

  • All tickets are subject to verification of class sold and the applied tariff based on information provided by passenger, any differences will require a re-issue of ticket and for any difference to be paid at the airport by the passenger.
  • International flights are subject to ICT taxes.

·   Flights are closed 15 minutes before departure, passengers not checked in before are not guaranteed boarding on the aircraft.

  • Valid Identification cards with pictures are required (passports, residence cards, driver’s license).

·   International flights requires at least 2 hours to check-in, we recommend to take this into consideration when you plan to connect from your domestic NatureAir flight into your international flight.

·   All fares are subject to taxes, airport services fees and fuel surcharges.

 

Lost Baggage and Liabilty

Liability of loss, delay, or damage to baggage is limited as follows:

  • For travel (including domestic portions of international journeys) to which the Warsaw Convention applies, liability for loss, delay, or damage to baggage is limited to approximately $9.07 per pound up to $500 maximum for checked baggage and $400 per passenger for unchecked baggage.
  • In the event that the contents of a single piece of checked baggage are owned and declared by two or more passengers, the maximum liability for that baggage shall not exceed $1,000 per baggage.

Exclusions From Liability ________________________________________________________________________

When NatureAir has exercised the ordinary standard of care it shall not be liable for the loss, damage to, or delay in delivery of any perishable property, nor for damage to or damage caused by fragile articles, liquids, or perishables, nor for the loss of, damage to, or delay in delivery of medicines, orthotics (surgical supports), money, jewelry, silverware, negotiable papers, securities, business/personal documents, spirits, book/manuscripts, optics, keys, files, publications, blueprints, paintings/works of art, sound reproduction equipment, business samples, artistic items, irreplaceable items, photographs, antlers, business equipment, natural furs products, antiques, heirlooms, collectibles, artifacts, precious metals/stones, photographic/cinematographic/audio/video equipment, recreational/sporting goods and related items, computer hardware/software and electric components/equipment, musical instruments, or any other similar valuable property included in the passenger’s cheked baggage with or without the knowledge of NatureAir. These items should be hand carried by the customer or shipped by commercial freight.

Reimbursable Expenses

 While awaiting the return of your delayed baggage, items considered for reimbursement are necessities needed while away from your home and are considered an advancement of items to be replaced. A maximum daily amount of $75 will be given by NatureAir as an advancement for essential items for each bag lost .

Delayed / Damaged Baggage

________________________________________________________________________  Any irregularities involving your baggage should be reported directly with NatureAir Airport Services Office within two hours of arrival at your destination. If your baggage does not arrive at your destination, report this to NatureAir representatives or call NatureAir Airport Services in San Jose before you leave the airport. These agents will ask you to provide the information pertinent to locating your baggage. If NatureAir is not successful in locating your property within 48 hours contact the NatureAir Corporate office to file a baggage claim.

  Baggage Delays in Excess of 48 Hours

 If your baggage has not been located and returned within 48 hours, mail or fax the Passenger Property Claim Form (given to you at the airport) or available by the NatureAir corporate office. Please send the form to the contact information below.

Nature Air informs you that as of April 1st, 2006 we will have a new policy, which requires each passenger that weighs over 270 pounds (123 kgs) to pay for two seats.  This must apply do to the restricted seat size and because of the weight constraints of the aircraft. This policy will be effective from the Tobias Bolaños Airport in Pavas and from all other destination airports.  The passenger will be charged directly, regardless of if an agency has credit or not.
